Tours Maputo runs regular 1-day safaris from Maputo to the wondrously unique Mountain Kingdom formelry known as Swaziland. The eSwatini border is only 1 hour from Maputo but our tour is a long adventure where we drive across a large proportion of the country.
The vast tapestry of African Culture is highlighted as we are transported from urban Maputo to one of the continent's most colourful countries. Our first stop is a quick stop at Hlane National Park to see if we can find Rhinos or Elephants.
We then move on to the famed Ezulwini Valley where much of the culture, both traditional and modern, are best exhibited. The highlight is the Mantenga Village where a lively Swazi dance, complete with booming drums will resonate with you long after your day trips ends. We have a few quiet moments at the waterfall and a revealing tour of a traditional Swazi village lead by a Swazi local.
Lunch is enjoyed at the historic Malandela homestead with the neighbouring House on Fire showing that eSwatini's unique identity is still growing and developing. The final step on the tours is at the famous Swaziland Candle Factory which has now morphed into a hub of arts and crafts.

eSwatini 2-day Tour

Our two-day Swaziland Tour is becoming a popular way to explore this amazing country without the pressure of so many amazing places and experiences squeezed into one day.
The eSwatini 2-day tour visits the same highlights as the 1-day tour but the more relaxed trajectory includes a more thorough stop at Hlane Royal National Park including a 3 hour game drive in an open-backed safari vehicle with a professional Swazi Nature guide. The chances of seeing Rhinos, Elephants and Lions are very high in this compact reserve.
After lunch guests have time to explore Mlilwane Nature Reserve, another unique experience as the animals are safer in this park so it can be explored on foot, on a bike, or on a horse. For the more adventurous there is an unmissable hike to one of the mountain summits. Travellers will never forget their night spent in a traditional Swazi hut with the ruffling of warthogs and other antelopes as they rummage around the camp.
The second day we see the famous traditional dance performance, and a detailed description of traditional rural life before we enjoy lunch at Malandela's/House on Fire.

Our eSwatini/Kruger tours allows visitors to Mozambique use the extra entrance that the Frontier Visa allows to leave once and experience two magical places that are at Maputo's doorstep.
The tour includes two days of game drives with professional nature guides in open-backed safari vehicles in the King of Southern Africa nature reserves: Kruger Park.
Both nights are spent at our partner lodge that looks over Crocodile River to Kruger Park. Clients have consistenty shared their amazement at just how fantastic the lodge is. Great location, great food, and an amazing atmosphere one-to-one with nature.
But before this we start this tour travelling directly to eSwatini to complete a full day of cultural activities highlighting the traditional and the modern Swazi life.
